Title: Draftsperson

Department(s): Engineering

Reports to: Chris Stewart

This position is in support of the Director of Engineering. This person will be responsible for generating submittal drawings to send to clients, generating fabrication drawings to send to the onsite shop, and archiving existing drawings within the current system. The drawings will consist of fixtures and environment décor, with materials including wood, glass, metal, and plastic. Some training in engineering, Microvellum software and programming of CNC equipment is possible dependent upon applicant’s aptitude.

Essential job functions

• Generate, update, and archive submittal and shop drawings using AutoCAD
• Research job specifics and incorporate into drawings
• Review drawings with various departments and revise accordingly
• Prepare engineering for CNC shop equipment

Minimum requirements

• 3-5 years of AutoCAD experience, or a certificate of education in CAD
• Good working knowledge of spatial relationships, measurement, and dimensioning
• Ability to multi-task (will start and stop several projects in the course of a day and will need to be able to pick each project back up quickly and efficiently)
• Ability to efficiently prioritize, and to work with little supervision
• Experiential understanding of woodworking

Physical abilities required

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs

Experience with Microvellum software a plus
